2019 All-Mountain MTB Race Team Events:

  • Sea Otter Classic 4/10 – 14 Training Camp for ages 13+, sign up on our site for the camp, register for events at SeaOtterClassic.com
  • Dog River MTN Man Challenge SuperD – date pending in May, free entry for JR’s, more details soon
  • MTN Man Challenge SuperD #2 – date & location pending in May or June, free entry for JR’s, more details soon
  • Chainbreaker Preview Ride, May 4 – log some miles and play in the stadium on our features.
  • Cascadia Dirt Cup – we will pick 1 or 2 races with the most athletes and run a trip or send a Coach. Talk to Bill & John about your plans. Races are full, waitlist only now.
  • NAEC, Kellogg, ID, a highlight of the season, single-day Enduro on difficult terrain, team trip leaving Thursday PM if possible. You’ll miss the *new* last day of school. June 13-16. Sign up for the van on our site, race reg and info at https://www.naenduro.com/
  • Trail Work Overnight & Ride: going to the Ochocos on June 25 & 26 for at least 1 night, maybe 2 nights of camping, building trail and riding new tread! Learn trail work, give back, and have fun riding! I’m trying to make this a Free trip. Sponsored by Dirt Mechanics and COTA.
  • USA Cycling MTB Nationals: Winter Park, CO from July 23-28, https://www.usacycling.org/events/national-championships/2019-mtb-nat-champs If we get 5 riders who want to go then we can look at sending a Coach.

    • Everyone is welcome at all of the Thrilla Races whether it’s a WED or THURS, you should come!
    • Molly from MBSEF asked that everyone signs up online so save $ and make it easier for her, and also asked for Parents to fill out and sign the attached Waiver.
    • Don’t use the dust or heat as an excuse not to race — these are training races to sharpen your skills and practice will involve reading the course, warming up and racing.
    • MUST BE 12 by 12/31/17 in order to race! Younger riders can come to practice and watch / cheer during the race
    • Do the JR Race by default, then do the Adult race if a Coach suggests it.
  • Corn Cross Van Trip Sunday 9/10

    • I know it’s before our official first day of practice, but I will take a van.
    • Only come if you’re prepared and your bike is dialed! I will not have loaner bikes ready for racers by this race.

    • Local Race in Tumalo on 9/16 & 17
    • Conflicts with Zaaldercross JCS #1 on Saturday
    • Parents and Riders encouraged to help volunteer at this event, especially on Sunday.
    • Race both days if you’re not traveling, otherwise come in the van to Zaaldercross for Saturday and race for fun on Sunday at home.

  • UCI / USAC Call-Up Quest Travel Ideas
    • 17/18+ need UCI points, so Derby Cup/PanAm Champs and CXLA are the big two that Henry and Joe and I were looking at.
    • I suggest we wait until later October or early November to target these big travel races so we’re ramped up and I can most likely travel if we have 3+ athletes and it’s after October 15.
